Summer in October

It's hard to complain about bright sunshine and 80 degree days in Northeast Ohio at any time of the year, but particularly in October. Most falls are unremarkably similar -- gray and wet. But not this year (and, according to my log not last year either) where summer-like weather has kept the steelhead gear stored in the back of the Santa Fe.

A trip to the Rocky River on Saturday had the water very low and clear. Two of my favorite holes have changed dramatically. It will be interesting to see how they fish in a month or so.

For now, it's time to pray for rain.
