Heading to FLA - Mosquito Lagoon

The Cadet and I will be hopping on a Continental flight to Florida tomorrow. We'll be spending some time with Anne's family and hanging out at Cocoa Beach. Florida is not my favorite place in the world -- mainly because trout don't hang out there.

But the salt water fishing is supposed to be pretty good and we'll spend Wednesday exploring Mosquito Lagoon and the nearby environs with Capt. Doug Blanton of SightFishing. He's cautioned that the fishing has been a little slow now that the heat of July is in full force. But the Cadet has agreed to head out with me at dawn and give it a rip. It's been a long time since the Cadet and I have been on the water together. This will be the first time trying fly fishing in the salt. Lots of reasons to look forward to dawn on Wednesday.
